    Drive north past Kilt Rock and its waterfall, then walk the strange landscape of the Quiraing.

    Dinner by the harbor in Portree, with its rows of colorful houses.

    Fairy Pools and Neist Point

    Morning

    Walk to the Fairy Pools in Glen Brittle, clear blue pools beneath the Cuillin mountains.

    Afternoon

    Visit the Talisker distillery at Carbost, then drive west to the cliffs of Neist Point.

    Evening

    Watch sunset from the lighthouse at Neist Point, then a quiet dinner and a dram.

  3. Day 3

    Castles and coral beaches

    Morning

    Visit Dunvegan Castle and its gardens, then walk to the Coral Beach at Claigan.

    Afternoon

    Take a boat from Elgol to Loch Coruisk, a remote loch encircled by the Cuillin.

    Evening

    Final dinner of local langoustines or venison, then a dram by the fire as the light lingers over the water.

A cottage or small hotel in Portree or the Dunvegan area, central to the island's highlights.
