    Enter Petra at opening and walk the narrow Siq until the Treasury appears through the rock.

    Afternoon

    Continue past the Street of Facades and the Royal Tombs, then climb the long stairway to the Monastery.

    Evening

    Rest in Wadi Musa, and on the nights it runs, return for Petra by Night, with the Siq lit by candles.

    High places and Little Petra

    Morning

    Hike to the High Place of Sacrifice for views across the ancient city.

    Afternoon

    Visit Little Petra, Siq al-Barid, then drive south to Wadi Rum.

    Evening

    Watch sunset from a dune, then a Bedouin dinner and a night under the stars.

  3. Day 3

    The red desert

    Morning

    Explore Wadi Rum by jeep, visiting Khazali Canyon's rock inscriptions and the Um Fruth rock bridge.

    Afternoon

    Rest in the shade, then ride a camel across the sand as the cliffs glow.

    Evening

    Final night in the desert camp, or drive on to Aqaba and the Red Sea.
