    Return for dinner in the Muslim Quarter, with roujiamo and lamb skewers.

    Pagodas and the city wall

    Morning

    Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, then the Shaanxi History Museum.

    Afternoon

    Rent a bike and ride the Ming city wall as the sun sets over the rooftops.

    Evening

    Walk through Datang Everbright City, the lantern-lit Tang-style boulevard.

    The old city

    Morning

    Visit the Great Mosque, a calm courtyard of Chinese pavilions.

    Afternoon

    Visit the Bell and Drum Towers, then the art and calligraphy of the Forest of Stone Steles.

    Evening

    Final dinner of hand-pulled biangbiang noodles and yangrou paomo, the lamb and bread soup you crumble yourself.
