    Bergen's old wharf

    Morning

    Explore Bryggen, Bergen's old wooden wharf, then browse the fish market.

    Afternoon

    Take the funicular up Mount Fløyen for views over the city and the islands.

    Evening

    Dinner of fresh seafood by the harbor, with the long summer light still bright on the painted wharf houses.

  2. Day 2

    Down the Flåm Railway

    Morning

    Take the train from Bergen to Myrdal through mountains and valleys.

    Afternoon

    Change to the Flåm Railway, which drops steeply past waterfalls to the fjord at Flåm.

    Evening

    Settle into a cabin on the water and watch the light linger over the fjord.

  3. Day 3

    Nærøyfjord by boat

    Morning

    Cruise the Nærøyfjord, one of the narrowest in the world and a UNESCO site, from Flåm to Gudvangen.

    Afternoon

    Drive or take the bus back toward Bergen through Voss, stopping at waterfalls along the way.

    Evening

    Final dinner in Bergen, or break the journey with a night in Voss among the lakes and mountains.
